Meditation and Relaxation Classes

Date: 2009 Tuesday evenings
Time: 7:30pm to 8:30pm
Venue: Queanbeyan
Price: $20/person

The 6 week course will comprise :

  • Simple meditation techniques
  • How to achieve a state of relaxation
  • Various types of meditation
  • Emotional awareness
  • Bringing harmony and balance to the mind
  • Moving towards inner peace and a sense of well being
  • How to enjoy life more
  • Learning to live in the now
  • Reducing stress in the workplace

Every evening comprises one or two meditations/visualisations plus information on topics such as benefits of meditation, breathing, emotional awareness, taking control of your thoughts, relieving stress in the workplace, living in the now. You don't have to be a newcomer to meditation to enjoy this course.

Participants leave each class feeling relaxed with a wonderful sense of wellbeing. Even if you are currently enjoying meditation at home this course provides you with a lovely environment with like minded people, and in this busy world we live in it also allows you to set aside some time each week to meditate.... although meditation should not just be looked at as something that we do for small amounts of time during the week. It's a principle of awareness that you can practice in every moment of your life.

Living mindfully is incredibly enriching. It helps prevent the occurrence of unpleasant states of mind such as stress and depression, and it also helps us to live with freedom, dignity, and with respect for ourselves and others. Meditation creates a sense of well being and connection which can be accessed at any time. It broadens your awareness of yourself and the relationship you have with the world around you.
